PUČIŠĆA - VIDOVA GORA - ŠKRIP - DOL

This is a unique opportunity to get to know Brač and its picturesque towns and landscapes.

Pučišća has long been known for its stonemasonry culture. The harmony and unity of farmers houses and baroque buildings made from the whitewashed stone of Brač takes the breath of every visitor. The tradition of quarrying continues to this day in the Stonemasonry School, the only one in Croatia and this part of Europe.

Definitely the most famous destination on Brač and the whole Croatian coast is Bol. Its beach „Golden horn“, a natural phenomenon and a symbol of the Adriatic. For years pebbles from Vidova gora were falling down and together with the sea currents and the winds shaped this unique beach. Nowadays, under the influence of the waves „Golden horn“ often changes its shape. We will not miss the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic view from the highest point of the island of Brač. From Vidova gora which is 778 meters high, there is a spectacular view of the famous Bol beach „Golden horn“, the islands of Vis, Hvar and Korčula. With a bit of luck and a good wind the view can reach even Italy.

The trip takes us to the center of the island and a visit to Škrip, the oldest island settlement. Prehistoric ramparts, numerous archeological sites, sarcophagi and reliefs, and medieval graves make it one of the most important archeological sites in Croatia. The Museum of Brač island best exemplifies all the history and millennial life of the island.

Eco-ethno village Dol is located in the deep valley in the island's interior. At the entrance to the village there are caves made of grainy stone hrapočuša and the autochthonous cake was named after it. This quient and pieceful place is full of preserved traditional stone houses and ideal for anyone who likes to explore. Food lovers can satisfy their palate in one of the local taverns. Among many delicious specialties, worthy of mention are Brač Vitalac and Hrapoćuša, dishes known in the world of high gastronomy and protected as an immaterial cultural good.
