BACK TO THE PAST multi day

Can you believe there is a desert on Brač? An island full of life and nature, surrounded by the most beautiful sea, is truly special in so many ways!

DAY 1

Arrival to Postira in the afternoon on your own arrangement. Accommodation in a private apartment of your choice or at one of our hotels. After check-in, we suggest you to spend your free time for walk and explore the place or take a swim on one of many beaches along the coast.

DAY 2

After breakfast it's time to explore Brač. Accompanied by a tour guide, we go to Blaca desert, a natural monument unique not only on Brač but also on the entire Croatian coast. It is considered a desert because of the scarcety of nature in this area. Its beginning was a stone-rebuilt cave - the first shelter of priests from Poljica. Along the steep cliff, deserted hermitages paved the church and monastery, residential and commercial buildings, and transformed the vast forests into rich vineyards and olive groves. Blaca desert, which was also an astronomical observatory, is a natural and cultural phenomenon, as well as a valuable monument to human work and persistence.
The road to Blaca is a dirt path of 2 kilometers and it is intended only for walkers. We will walk this path to the monastery and museum, whose inventory includes a valuable astronomical collection of the last desert. This is one of the most visited museums on the island.

Brač is the highest of all Croatian islands. From Vidova gora which is 778 meters high, there is a spectacular view of the famous Bol beach „Golden horn“, the islands of Vis, Hvar and Korčula. This is a true paradise for hunters and hikers, herbalists, adventurers. With a bit of luck and a good wind the view can reach even Italy. Just a little imagination and you can shoot the best selfie. For those in love Vidova gora is often an ideal place to say fateful "yes".

Return to Postira is scheduled in the afternoon and you can spend the evening at one of the local restaurants.

DAY 3

This morning is reserved for exploring Škrip, the oldest settlement of Brač that  best describes all the history and millennial life of the island.Prehistorical ramparts, numerous archaeological finds, sarcophagi and reliefs and medieval graves make it one of the most significant archaelogical sites in Croatia.

The Museum of Olive oil presents the history of olive growing on the island as well as the entire traditional olive oil production process, all the traditional tools used for transport, production and storage of olive oil. After an interesting and instructive presentation you will be able to shrug your sleeves and try to get few drops of this green gold. There is also a taster in the museum and after hard work we will enjoy island delicacies such as olive pate, jams, cheese, domestic olive oil and wine.
Museum of island Brač is housed in Radojkovic Tower from the 16th century and shows a cross section of island's history and cultural heritage. In the lower part of the museum is a Roman mausoleum, famous for the legend that the wife and daughter of Emperor Diocletian were buried here.

After sightseeing of Škrip, we arrive in eco-ethno village Dol located in the deep valley in the island's interior. At the entrance to the village there are caves made of grainy stone hrapoćuša and the autochthonous cake was named after it. This quient and pieceful place is full of preserved traditional stone houses and ideal for anyone who likes to explore.

Return to Postira is scheduled after lunch at a well-known local tavern. You can spend the afternoon on a bike ride or on one of our quad or kayak tours.

DAY 4
